About the Speaker
St. Louis-based Mark Luther is a Senior Technical Service Engineer for cement company LafargeHolcim. At Purdue University he earned a BS in structures in 1979 and a MS in civil-engineering materials in 1981. Mark Luther is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute; was Missouri Chapter co-chair of the Fall 2008 Convention in St. Louis; president of the Missouri Chapter in 2006; president of the Pittsburgh-Area Chapter in 1991; chaired technical committees 233 on Slag Cement, former committee 116 on Terminology (twice); is a voting member of committee 363 (high-strength) and 233, and has been a member of at least 10 other committees. In ASTM Luther is a member of committee C.01 on cement and lime and Committee C.09 on concrete and aggregates; was the Formative Chair of Subcommittee C09.27 on slag cement; and he has been on several other subcommittees and task groups.
